In class, participants will learn how to make a bowl with a motif fabric on the base and intermittently wrapped rope up the sides - refer to the "dala horse" shop sample.

NECESSARY SUPPLIES

• sewing machine with zig-zag function 
• jean or universal needles
• rope (at least 30 feet of 3/16", diamond-braided cotton rope)
• 1/4 yd motif fabric - quilting cotton, batik, flannel are all ok. (You may also want an accent color around base & at top of bowl.)
• coordinating thread
• glue stick (I use Elmer's Craft Bond, but any glue stick that dries clear will work.)
• scissors
• mat, rotary cutter, straight edge ruler

OPTIONAL SUPPLIES 

(Not necessary, but if you have them at home just throw them in your supply bag.)

• free motion gloves
• purple thang, stiletto, other pointy tools
• darning foot
• frixion pen
• invisible thread
• decorative button or beads with at least 1/4" hole
