June 2024 Anderson Fabrics Newsletter

Happy beginning of Summer! The trees have been fun to watch as they fill out and turn many shades of green. Every year I tell my husband how I love to see the new colors of green as we drive around, especially through the “Avenue of Pines” on hwy 46. Living in an area of four seasons we appreciate the “changes” and can see a newness and appreciation for where we live. In a few short weeks the Lady Slippers will bloom. I promised someone a post on facebook when they are blooming… watch for those! I am appreciating getting out and enjoying the beauty of the north woods. I have even started listening to quilting podcasts as I walk and drive to work. I even downloaded an App called “My Quilts” that I can put my projects in as I sew them or as they are completed. I look forward to trying this out and will share more after I have used it more.

As we are at work, we are surrounded by new fabrics coming in pretty much weekly, and our minds are constantly at work thinking about new projects. (That’s when we appreciate rainy days to work on our projects) Hope you can enjoy the summer and time for your quilting projects too.

You may see a new face in the store, Susan has joined us recently. She loves quilting and is moving closer to the area from Grand Rapids MN. Please make her feel welcome.

We will gear up for the next hop this month. Quilt Minnesota will start July 26th and run through August 17th. Our Quilt MN fabrics are online and can be pre-ordered. The flyers will be in the store the last week in June. Our region this year has three stores: Oklee Quilting and Supplies, Up North Quilting in International Falls and Anderson Fabrics Quilt Shop.
