Fall has arrived! Hunting season is here and the Northern lights were out in full force Wednesday night. It is a glorious time to be living in the northern part of the state.
We are so excited to be open under new management and our hope is to have a grand opening some time in 2026. Our staff hasn’t changed much but at the current time you will see four of the same familiar faces you have seen in the shop.

All of us are willing to help you in any way you need to spark that creativity in your sewing projects.
Winter Hours: with the time change happening at the end of October, we started our winter hours of being open 9am - 4pm. If that doesn’t work for you we are not opposed to staying longer if you call ahead. We are open Tuesday-Friday 9-4pm and Saturdays 10-3pm.

Holiday closing: We will be closed for Thanksgiving on Thursday Nov. 27th.
Open Sew: We will have open sew available for Friday/Saturday Nov. 28-29th. Please let us know if you plan to attend. You can leave your machines set up Friday night for a longer time to sew.
Some Hiccups: With the changing of the guard happening in the middle of the month we have seen some hiccups with different things.

PHONES: our answering service wasn’t working for a few days, that is fixed. We no longer have an 800 number. But you can still reach us at 218.835.6377

WEBSITE: Many have told us they aren’t getting the newsletter. (me included, aka Clare) You can go on our website and request the letter to be sent to you, you can also find it under the newsletter tab on the website. The other thing you can do if you create a login, you can see your purchases. (this is handy when you are not sure if you have enough of the fabric you bought for a project and want to see if we still have it in stock)

FACEBOOK: We couldn’t figure out how to change the name of our facebook page, so we created a new page. But we couldn’t do live videos for a certain amount of days… so we had to use the old page. We hope to get this all figured out in a month or two. Mary is our Facebook guru, I am especially looking forward to her Christmas song videos next month as well as the many sewing memes she puts out there. This is the place to find our weekly sales and happenings at the store. Did you see her Halloween costume? She was a great captain of the ship/shop!

Charm Club:  Charm Club will meet on November 11th. If interested in shopping, we share a code for you to get 20% off your one time purchase the week of the club.  Check us out on Facebook. “Anderson Fabrics Outlet and Quilt Shop”. Come and join the fun.
For those coming to the shop for club at 6PM; we are doing a Brown Fat quarter drawing this month. Bring a fat quarter in the brown tones and put your name in the pot, one lucky winner will get them all. We have a Holiday runner pattern for the Club pattern this month. The pattern will be in club patterns as a free download, kits are available.  

We shared a 14” Scrappy Woven block as our project for October. We decided that we would do an exchange in December. The requirements are that you use a white on white with scrap fabric in your block. Make as many as you would like and for each block you can put your name into the basket to win the whole lot of the blocks. If we get a lot of participants we may separate the blocks to have multiple winners. Here is a picture of our four blocks together to see how it might look with multiple blocks. You can find the pattern as a free download in our Club patterns section.
