A Note From the Shop
October is a BIG month for us! We will celebrate our 1st Anniversary October 6th-17th.
Mary has fun plans for the two week celebration. We hope you will stop in for the festivities. Daily drawings, daily sales (in addition to our weekly sales,) treats, sewing machine demonstrations, Cricut/Siser Demo’s, ruler demo’s, Tufting gun demo’s are in the works. We even will have a Sewing Machine in the Drawings for a Grand Prize! Watch our facebook page for better details. We may even send out another email sharing our excitement.
October 8th the Nebish Northstar 4H club will be sharing bars and displays of some of their projects at the shop in honor of National 4H month. We have worked with this 4H group for several years. They are an awesome group of kids!
All summer there has been road work on Hwy 71 from Bemidji. They are scheduled to be done with that in October. That will be nice. But that being said, we've noticed the fall colors are quite nice on that detour. Enjoy Fall and the colors it brings to our northern country!
We are under construction. We are adding another room out back. We hope to have a new classroom by next summer.
Featherweight Club: We had our 1st Featherweight club in September. We meet on the first Tuesday of the month at about 1pm. Bring your Singer Sewing machines. Jean Hopko hosts this Club The intent is to have a project to work on for the afternoon. October 6th will be our next meeting.
Star Quilt Class - Saturday, October 24th
Learn how to make a beautiful Star quilt with Rosalie Hill . Bring your sewing machine, sewing tools and lunch or plan to order lunch from a local restaurant.Class starts at 10 am.Cost: $35.00 FULL! Let us know if your are interested... We could schedule another class!
We are looking to have a class in November to make the Camden bowls. Jean Hopko will teach this class. We are looking into a Saturday or a Weekday. If you are interested and have an opinion for the day of the week, let us know!
It’s not too early to think about Christmas. We have Layaway options for our Cricut machines and NECCHI sewing machines.
We have someone to service sewing machines too, Tim Kuhlman was maintenance at the work room and serviced the Juki machines. He is accepting machines for cleaning and repair at a charge of $60/hr.
